Kentucky Weather

Since last Friday, I have experienced all four seasons in the same place. Central and eastern Kentucky has experienced tornadoes, 3-5 inches of snow and today, this:

Bright, sunny, nearly 70 degree weather. 

These are my friends a week ago. In the basement of the school cafeteria, being sheltered from a tornado.

I'm so ready for it to just be spring. Have you been experiencing this where you live?

Happy Groundhogs Day!

We have some really weird holidays in America. The strangest being Groundhog's Day. Do we really need a day to celebrate a rodent seeing or not seeing his shadow in order to tell us if winter is going to be long or short? According to Punxsutawney Phil, we're going to have a longer winter.

I don't believe him. It is February 2nd and I'm wear short sleeves, because it is 55 degrees outside. If this is winter, then please, give me more of it.
